I wish that my career as an interior designer allowed me even more time to play around with fabric combinations for client presentations, but more of my hours are actually spent project managing and dealing with paperwork than anything else! (I think it sounds a lot more glamorous to people outside of the industry than it actually is, in that respect.) My favorite part of designing a room is mixing fabric colors and patterns and putting it together with the right furniture and accessories, so I’m always happiest at the beginning of a new project when I get to do this for a client. Below are some of my favorite mood boards that I’ve assembled, including original paintings from my vintage art shop, few vintage textiles, and fabric swatches in a variety of patterns, stripes and textures from some of my favorite fabric designers. I think you’ll be able to tell that I’m always a fan of blue & green, but I mixed in some other great color palettes as well!
