My favorite piece in this house is the huge antique paneled screen mounted behind the sofa in the living room. It has a beautiful texture and patina, and serves as the basis for our color scheme, as well as an anchoring focus of the room. I’m a huge art lover, and it’s great when I can incorporate pieces like this that are a departure from smaller framed pieces.

Another area visible from the front door of this Hermosa Beach home is the dining room, whose dark and moody wall color, combined with the large-scale photographs, provide a cool and dramatic atmosphere.
