If you need art help, I find that a one-hour consultation is a great way to kickstart my clients’ personal art placement projects. This is one of the interior design elements that is most important, yet most often overwhelms people. From discussions on art purchasing, to framing, to hanging, this short and effective consultation is a helpful solution.
Based on your unique requirements, space and unique taste, I will make suggestions on:
- WHAT KIND OF ART you (or we) should shop for in terms of size, color, style, and medium. It’s important to have a harmonious mix of sizes and mediums, whether you like a riot of color, a completely monochromatic look, or somewhere in between; whether you prefer large modern paintings, gallery walls full of traditional oil paintings, or any transitional combination that meets in the middle.
- WHERE and HOW TO BUY ART. You may prefer original paintings or affordable reproductions. There are many great options both in local galleries or the many online art websites. Art does not have to be “fancy” or expensive for it to transform your walls and rooms in a beautiful way.
- WHERE TO PLACE ART. It’s important to have different types of installations throughout your home. I like some single large paintings as well as groups of smaller paintings, and they should all be properly proportioned to the available space and hung at the correct height.
We are art consultants in Los Angeles, primarily serving the South Bay, from Palos Verdes to Manhattan Beach, but can travel further, as needed, and are available for residential or commercial projects.
If you’re too far away, or would just prefer a virtual appointment, you can set up an online art consultation where we can discuss any of the items listed above. Please contact us to set up either type of appointment.
Please also visit our art shop on Chairish for some amazing and unique original vintage paintings.
